ABOUT ME
MY STORYThe COVID-19 pandemic gave Morgan Bodenstedt the opportunity for introspection, realizing that her passion lied in filmmaking and entertainment.
While earning her BA in Psychology at Miami University, Morgan Bodenstedt signed up for a Honors Film History & Analysis course her first semester. She found herself signing up for more film courses each semester, finding them engaging and entertaining.
Accidentally earning a minor in Film Studies should have been her first clue that while she cared deeply about mental health awareness, her passion lied in filmmaking, not psychology. But it took the isolation of the COVID-19 pandemic for Morgan to reflect on what would bring her the most happiness in her future career. Returning to school, Morgan moved to Chicago in 2021 to earn a BA in Film & Television.
Since graduating summa cum laude from Columbia, Morgan has worked on a variety of films and within a variety of roles. Notably, she has worked as a 1st Assistant Director on short films with Dustie Films Production, as 1st AD on short film “Behind His Eyes,” as a PA on an indie feature film “Where’s George?” and as 2nd Assistant Director on an indie feature film “Caution to the Wind.”
